Towards a Viable Film Industry in the Caribbean
Most of the major territories of the Anglophone Caribbean have embarked on some kind of program involving film production or are at least planning to do so.
The extant situation however is that- with the exception of a few films made in Jamaica, Trinidad and to a lesser extent, Barbados- there has been no real output of local films that would indicate that there is any activity going on with regard to managing the resources necessary for the establishment of what should be a self-sustaining and eventually money-making industry.
